Medway Boiler Installers was founded on a simple idea: homeowners in Medway deserve heating engineers who give honest advice, do quality work, and charge a fair price. Over twenty years later, that idea still drives everything we do.
We are a team of Gas Safe registered heating engineers based in the heart of the Medway Towns. We specialise in boiler installation, boiler repair, boiler servicing, central heating systems, and gas safety certificates for homeowners, landlords, and letting agents across Chatham, Rochester, Gillingham, Strood, Rainham, and the wider ME postcode area.
How We Started
Our story is not unusual for this trade. We started out as a small operation — one engineer, one van, and a genuine passion for doing things properly. The early years were spent building a reputation the old-fashioned way: through word of mouth, repeat business, and recommendations from satisfied customers.
What set us apart from the beginning was our refusal to push unnecessary work. If a boiler needs a new diverter valve, we replace the diverter valve. We do not tell you the whole boiler needs replacing just to increase the invoice. That straightforward approach earned trust, and trust brought growth.
Over the years, we have grown into a team of qualified heating engineers, each bringing their own specialisms and experience. But the ethos has not changed. We still treat every job — whether it is a quick boiler service in Rainham or a full central heating installation in a Rochester period property — with the same care and attention.

Gas Safe Registration
Every engineer on our team holds a current Gas Safe registration. This is the legal certification required to work on gas appliances in the UK, administered by the Health and Safety Executive. It is a criminal offence for an unregistered person to carry out gas work, and we take this responsibility seriously. You are welcome to ask for our Gas Safe ID card at any time, and you can verify our registration online through the Gas Safe Register.
Manufacturer Accreditations
These accreditations are not just badges. They mean our engineers receive regular, manufacturer-specific training, have access to technical support lines, and can offer warranty terms that unaccredited installers simply cannot match.
Ongoing Training
The heating industry does not stand still. Regulations change, new technologies emerge, and boiler designs evolve. Our engineers undertake regular continuing professional development to stay current with the latest standards, including changes to Building Regulations Part L (energy efficiency), updated Gas Safe technical bulletins, and new product training from manufacturers.
